This series consists of application files for machinery areas (MA) in District B [Darwin] area in the Northern Territory. They contain the application for registration of a mining tenement other than a lease with a sketch of the area being applied for and measurements in chains, any objections received, whether the application is approved or not, rental payments, and general correspondence. File MA 2B contains a Caveat against a mining tenement, a withdrawal of caveat and a surrender of a mining tenement.
